Anzac Park Public School is of particular significance to School Infrastructure NSW, being the first public school built in the lower north shore for many years and designed for the future focus learning education principles. The school offers innovative learning spaces and the latest technology, designed to ensure best practice collaboration and learning.
The school opened with kindergarten students in first term 2016 and will grow to accommodate all years. Part of the project was for the temporary accommodation of the 80 kindergarten students in four new classrooms within a separate area of the Crows Nest TAFE from the start of term one, while the new building at 2 Anzac Avenue was being completed throughout the year.
The Principal under the contract is NSW Department of Public Works and the client is School Infrastructure NSW..
The main objective was to deliver a future focus primary school which facilitates an open learning environment with a combination of flexible internal learning spaces as well as active outdoor spaces to complement the learning experience.
Significant sites issues, such as contamination, were overcome in order to deliver a new education facility in time for the 2017 schooling year.
