151 Macquarie Street
CPS was appointed as the Project Manager for the redevelopment/refurbishment and fit-out of 151 Macquarie Street, Sydney. CPS assembled the consultant team to fully document and tender the construction works for this project. The project management was complex involving the management of multiple adjoining residential and commercial stakeholders and negotiation of access over adjoining lands.
The building was re-skinned on all elevations with glass, metal and stone clad facades. The eastern façade facing Macquarie Street is a contemporary composition of transparent, glazed curtain wall and spandrel panels, with infill windows between metal clad spandrels.
Complete internal refurbishment of finishes, services and amenities has greatly extended the useful life of the building. Careful planning and management of regulatory authorities meant that upgrading was possible without any consequential loss of floor space. In fact, the amount of lettable area in the building has been justifiably increased by sensitive extension of the top floor.
At project completion the building achieved an “A” grade rating in accordance with the Property Council Commercial Office rating system.
