CPS was engaged as the project manager for the design and construction of 47 medium density, single and double storey residential projects across metropolitan Sydney as part of the National Building and Economic Stimulus Programme (NBESP) for Affordable Housing for the NSW Department of Housing.

Services included the management of the design development, statutory approvals, budget development, programming procurement of contractors, demolition of existing premises, construction, superintendence , environmental management and site remediation; consultant and contractor tender, appointment and management; administration of the construction contract as the Superintendent; commissioning and defects management for the Defects Liability Period; and the ongoing liaison with the client and Community Housing Providers and independent stakeholders

For the unique requirements of this project, CPS created a cooperative team environment to deliver multiple projects with multiple contractors and contracts totalling in excess of $130 million.

Overcoming tight deadlines saw the successful delivery of all projects, totalling approximately 550 dwellings, thereby enabling the State Government to achieve their target of state wide of 75% completion by December 2010 and meet the Federal Government funding guideline for the NBESP.
